I’m proud to announce another huge JNL event! Once again, I’m being featured on the front cover of a major magazine – and this time it’s the amazing Muscle and Performance!
They not only featured me on the front cover, but they’ve conducted an entire interview with me inside the magazine, all about what it took for me to get this far. If you’ve read my interview with CBS News, you’ll know that my inspirational story is one of the most important things – if not the most important – that I offer to my fans!
Here’s a little bit of what we discussed!
In the interview, I talk quite a bit about not having a lot of exercise on my family when we were growing up. I didn’t have what we’d now call “active” role models around me to show me a better example – and so you can imagine what happened. I ate!
I know more than most that there isn’t always a positive role model in people’s lives that they can turn to when they need help, which is why it’s so important to me that I am able to provide even a little bit of that in people’s lives.
Another big topic I’ve been really talking about a lot recently is the idea of a wake-up call, or the idea of really trying not to just go ‘through the motions’.
This is about you making the decision to change the way you live your life. For me, it took a wake up call – and a very real one at that. And so I understand that it’s exceedingly difficult for people to simply choose, one day, to start living their lives differently. But that really is all it takes! One decision, one day, and then the perseverance to move forward!
And that’s why I focus so much – both in my books, and in interviews like this one – on taking things step by step. You have to honestly tell yourself, every single day, that this is the only one of ‘these days’ you’re ever gonna get! Sure, there’s always tomorrow, but that’s the whole point – there’s always tomorrow! It never changes, and the only day you can ever really make a difference in your life is always gonna be today!
There’s no secret that I’m all about inspiration. There are dozens of places that my energy comes from every day – my family, my business, working out, eating great – but without a doubt, absolutely without a doubt, the most inspiring thing I come across, day in and day out, are the stories I get from men and women all around the world who have gone through or are going through a similar experience – knowing they weren’t living very healthy, and finally finding the inspiration to do something about it. When I am lucky enough to be counted as part of that inspiration, it touches me in a serious, profound way that really nothing else can. And that’s where my energy comes from!
So check out Muscle and Performance in every single Vitamin Shoppe location in the US – it’s there now! Just look for JNL!
