How to be that woman

We have all been there. Sat around the pool with friends feeling sort of confident about how we look in our bikini and along she comes. Yes, her, the dreaded bikini clad beauty who makes you feel like slipping quietly into the pool and under the water where your body can no longer be compared to such perfection…

You admire such women but you too could actually be such a woman! You are never blessed with a hot body, you have to work for it and if you put in the work you too can be that woman.

How could I ever be that woman?!

Three simple rules; eat healthily, drink healthily and exercise. Follow these simple rules and you can morph into the “dreaded” bikini clad beauty that you fear so much.

What do you mean, drink healthily?

I get asked this question a lot and it’s a fairly simple one to answer. Ditch the fizzy drinks, the sugar-packed energy cans and cut down on tea and coffee and replace it all with water. Fruit juices without added sugar, colors, flavorings or preservatives are also good but in moderation as fruit juices contain a large amount of natural sugar so whenever possible, just drink water.

Make your water more interesting by adding a twist of lemon, lime or even orange…

What foods do I eat to be like her?

Firstly, it is about what foods you should avoid as much as which foods you should consume. Secondly, don’t be fooled into thinking you can’t have a body like that and also eat! Of course you can, you just have to eat healthily. Having a smokin’ hot body is not about starving yourself, all you have to do is apply some common sense in this department as we all know fried foods are fatty and should be avoided, so avoid them and not food altogether.

What exercises do I do to look like that?

The gym is an ideal way to work out for some, but if money and time are factors then stop using them as an excuse, as they can be worked around! But there are lots of other options, too:

  1. Work out at home, three or four nights a week for an hour with a keep fit video.
  2. Work out while playing with the kids and walking the dog.
  3. Join a class at the gym, as these are fairly affordable and take place often just once a week.
  4. Complete a set amount of exercises every morning — these can be done in your bedroom or living room.
  5. Go for a jog at least once a week.

Aim to complete more exercises every week, so up your jog from once to twice a week, and your crunches from 15 to 20 — and so on — and you will be on your way to being that woman next time you visit the pool.
